Code of Conduct comments due May 16

Tell us what you think: Code of Conduct

The City School District of Albany is seeking feedback from students, staff and community members as it considers updates to the annual Student Code of Conduct.

You can provide your thoughts, comments and questions in writing by May 16:

  • Via U.S. mail or drop off to the district's Pupil Personnel Services Office at Harriet Gibbons Student Services Center, 75 Watervliet Ave., Albany, 12206; or
  • Via email to CodeOfConduct@albany.k12.ny.us.

.

The Student Code of Conduct addresses expectations for student behavior and outlines efforts to promote advocacy, character-building and positive conduct.  It also defines and identifies interventions and consequences for unacceptable conduct. Each year the district reexamines and updates the code.

Comments received will be shared with the Board of Education Policy Committee when it reviews proposed edits and revisions for the 2024-2025 Student Code of Conduct.

Contact the Pupil Personnel Service Office for more information at (518) 475-6130.
