Students have the opportunity to develop their creativity, leadership and situational thinking with Albany High Mock Trial/ Speech and Debate team. In the courtroom and in competitions, students will be honing their public speaking skills, creating and defending a position or argument and building confidence. This club is based on simulations in the court room as a lawyer or a witness. Students work individually and collaboratively. Our team works with local lawyers and judges to create a case with a fact pattern that is provided by the NYS Bar association. Additional meeting times will be added once a trial is assigned to the group.
