It’s only fitting that fifth-graders in the district’s globally-focused school welcomed families and guests to their moving-up ceremony on Tuesday in eight different languages!
Students in Parwaiz Faizy’s class at Albany International Center and Djemila Stevens’ class in the Dual Language Program greeted their well-wishers in English, Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, Pashto, Portuguese, Spanish and Swahili.
After awards, presentation of certificates and a special musical number, the now-middle-schoolers met up outside school for an ice cream social.
