NO SCHOOL FRIDAY: Parent-Teacher Conferences/PD Day

- As a reminder, there is no school for students this Friday (Feb. 7) to accommodate parent/teacher conferences and staff professional development.
- Our protocols regarding electronic devices remain in effect. They are to be off and away during instructional time. Please go over these cell phone expectations with your student so that we are all on the same page regarding disciplinary action. Your continued partnership is appreciated.
- New York State Education Law requires students to have a physical examination in grade 7. We urge parents to use your child’s health care provider. Please contact Nurse Simmons or Nurse Hooper in our health office (518.475.6434) for assistance in scheduling an appointment if you do not have a provider. Physicals need to be completed before the end of the calendar school year.

When picking up or dropping off students, only use the parking spaces outlined in front of the sidewalk, located at the front of the building/ Please do not double park as this blocks the flow of First Student and CDTA buses. Avoid parking in our neighbors’ driveways and use the spaces provided on Elbel Court. Additionally, do not speed while driving on our property. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students and staff safe.

NEW DATE(S) ALERT: We are hosting a on Feb. 27 from 5-7 p.m. Drop off your student for the Winter Wonderland Dance (also moved to Feb. 27) and stay to learn your money personality, budgeting tools and increase your understanding of banks, interest and credit while expressing yourself through art projects.This is a great opportunity to meet other Myers parents!

Scholarships are still available (first come, first served) for the four-week , which offers , and sessions. The deadline to apply is March 14.

On Feb. 13, Myers students who will be at least 14 years-old by March 31 will be invited to a presentation by the City of Albany Youth and Workforce Services Department. At the meeting, we will review the entire process to register for the and answer any questions. Students will be provided with information to bring home.
